This area contains approximately 0.(1`L acres of <br />wetlands. Mining in this phase is estimated to last 3 to <br />4 years. Phase III will incorporate portions of Phase I <br />and II for interior roads, Uackfill anri reclamation. <br />Plant sites and settling ponds will remain the same as in <br />the previous phase. The roads used in Phase I1 will he <br />utilized for access to the area. A haul road from the <br />plant site access road will access Phase Ilt for mining <br />purposes. <br />• Expansion of the pit will continue into Phase III. Mining <br />and dewatering operations will Ue similar to the previous <br />phases. <br />Topsoil from Phase II and II1 will Ue stockpiled along the <br />west and north sides of Phase III. These stockpiles will <br />be approximately 12 feet high, 24 feet wide with finished <br />slopes not exceeding 2:1. The stockpiles will be approxi- <br />mately 900 feet in length, cover approximately 1.5 acres <br />and may consist of approximately J4,200 cubic yards. <br />Topsoil stockpiles will be irregularly shaped and reseeded <br />as per SCS recommendations.
