If excessive. dust results from mine traffic, <br />dust control measures will be taken. <br />A settling pond will be constructed along the south side of <br />the existing pond. Hy dewatering the gravels in-situ it is <br />anticipated [hat the water being pumped into the settling <br />pond from the mine pit will be substantially pre-cleaned. <br />A water discharge permit will be required. <br />Prior to Phase I operations, a fence will be constructed <br />along the. west boundaries of Phase I operations. This will <br />protect wetland areas and prevent encroachment into the <br />wetland areas outside of Phase I operations. The fence <br />will also prevent livestock from entering the construction <br />• area. <br />C. Moderate Disturbance Areas <br />1. The topsoil stockpiles located north of the pit excavation <br />wilt be shaped and reseeded when topsoil removal is <br />completed for the mining, plant and plant areas. This <br />stockpile will be approximately 12 feet high, 24 feet wide <br />with finished slopes not exceeding 2:1 and approximately <br />700 feet in length. This stockpile will have approximately <br />I acre of surface area and consist of approximately 12,900 <br />cubic yards. <br />Additional topsoil may be stockpiled in separate areas for <br />commercial use and continual reclamation operations.
