<br />EXHIBIT A - Leeal Description and Location Map <br />1. a tract of land located in part of the NW '/< of the SW '/4 of Section 25, Township <br />33 South, Range 62 West of the 6`h P.M., County of Las Animas, State of <br />Colorado, described as follows: <br />beginning at a point from which the west'/< comer of Sec. 36, T33S, R62W of the <br />6'h P.M., bears S O1-58-39 W 3,566.76 feet <br />thence N 43-00-11 E 1,295.03 feetto a point <br />thence N 46-31-24 W 259.89 feet to a point <br />thence S 61-43-21 W 449.02 feet to a point <br />thence S 38-13-19 W 685.99 feetto a point <br />thence S 18-29-50 E 394.63 feetto a point <br />to [he point of beginning. Containing 9.87 acres. <br />see attached map (Display B); <br />USGS map <br />EXHIBIT B -Site Description <br />a. for a description of the vegetation and soil characteristics, see attached letter <br />(Display C) from Tony Arnhold of the Natural Resources Conservation Service; <br />b. structures within 200', there are no man-made structures within 200' of the <br />affected area; <br />c. the area is rangeland with no evidence of water resources; <br />d. this is a Limited Impact Operation. <br />EXHIBIT C -Mining Plan <br />a. estimated time the mining will commence, depending when the permit application <br />is approved and other variables, will be approximately June of 2001. Estimated <br />time of conclusion, is fifreen (15) years from the date the permit application is <br />approved; <br />b. estimated depth to which soil (topsoil), suitable as plant growth medium, is six (6) <br />to twelve (l2) inches. This topsoil will be stockpiled at the location indicated on <br />EXHIBIT E Mining Plan Map (Display E). The topsoil stockpile will then be <br />seeded in accordance with the seed mixture in Tony Arnhold's letter (Display C); <br />there is minimal overburden in this area and will be mixed with the material fed <br />the crusher. No waste rock is anticipated that will need to be remove and <br />stockpiled to reach the deposit, if any is encountered, it will be used for riprap; <br />d. approximate thickness of the deposit is five (5) to twenty five (25) feet; <br />
