WHEREAS, Robert Latham has petitioned the County of ricsa
for a conditional use for a gravel extraction, processing
and asphalt and concrete plant operation on land zoned AFT
(Agricultural Forestry Transitional) situate in the County
of Mesa, State of Colorado, and described as:

WHEREAS, a hearing was held on the 21st day of September,
1982, and the Board has found and does hereby find *_hat such
conditional use would be in the public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
CO*iT1ISSI0NERS OF THE COUNTY OF MESA:
That the application of Robert Latham for a conditional
use for gravel extraction, processing and asphalt and concrete
plant on the above described property be approved, subject
to the following conditions:
1. A minimum of 100 feet of undisturbed greenbelt should
separate the pit from the .river and at the north end
of the island. A minimum of 75 feet should be left on
eiL--her side of the overflow channel and wetland area.
2. In addition to the greenbelt, cottonwoods and other vegeta-
tion should be left around the perimeter.
3. T1ao islands with native vegetation should be left to
provide nesting areas for waterfowl and passerine birds.
4. The pit bottom and shoreline should be irregular to enhance
aquatic life forms. Peninsulas are desirable.
