The arrow points are <br />types which generally occur after A.D. 500, but which <br />might pass out of favor about A.D. 1200. <br />There are no surface indications of any cultural <br />depth to the site. I doubt that excavations of the <br />site are necessary, even if it were to be destroyed by <br />construction activities or flooding. <br />Site: SMF280 Camasite. <br />Location: T6M, R91W, NE; of NW; of Section 31 and SEA of SW; of <br />Section 30 (U.S.G.S. Round Bottom Quad). <br />Descriation: <br />~• Sage and grass covered flat on 2nd terrace above the <br />confluence of the 'fampa and Williams Fork Rivers, <br />The site is mainly on the south side of the sectioniine <br />fence, but extends over into Section 30, at an altitude <br />of 6200 to 6220 feet, and in an area approximately SO <br />by 75 yards (see Fig. 5). <br />Material Recovered: <br />1 utilized =lake. <br />21 small pieces of chipping detri*_us without evidence <br />of utilization. <br />1 chcooer. <br />2 unifacial, tirind~nq slab fragments. <br />• <br />
