<br />• Grading will be done in a manner which controls erosion and sedimentation <br />both on and off the site. Backfilling and grading will be completed as soon <br />as feasible after the gravel has been removed. <br />Acid-forming and toxic producing materials do not exist on the site and <br />therefore will not constitute a problem. <br />Additional drill holes are not proposed of Mesa Gravel Pit. Previously drilled <br />holes have been sealed according to CMLR regulations. <br />Postmining Topography. The reclaimed area will be graded to approximately <br />resemble the area as it existed prior to mining with some minor modifica- <br />tions to drainage patterns. The area will be returned to agricultural use <br />after mining and therefore the area will be graded so that it can be tra- <br />versed by farm machinery. A conservative 12 percent swell factor was used <br />to determine the postmining topography. See Exhibit F-2 for estimated <br />postmining appearance. <br />C J <br />• <br />D-5 <br />
