BACKFILLING AND GRADING.
Upon completion of gravel removal from an area, backfilling and grading can
commence. The material to fill the open pit will be moved by scrapers from
the next adjacent pit being worked or from the overburden stockpile. The
scrapers and dozers will compact the material by their weight which will
• ensure stability.
