PLS/Ac. <br />These seeding rates are far critical area treatment at 40 pure live seed per <br />square foot. <br />Also, SCS standards and speciffjjications for mulching and critical area planting <br />will be followed. Fertilizatr7on requirements will be determined by soils test- <br />ing prior to seeding. <br />5. All mature cottonwoods or ,seedlings over ten feet in height are generally <br />located on the Pre-Hining Plari t4aps. These trees will not be disturbed by the <br />mining operations. P.dditionall cottonwood and willow cuttings will be started <br />along parts of the shorelines. <br />DAMS P,.4NCH PIT <br />E. As indicated in the letters from the Colorado Division of Wildlife, dated <br />?:ay 29, 1979, a number of bal eagles have been observed at this site. The <br />eagle population ryas discuss=_ during a recent conversation with r".r. Walter <br />Graul, Non-Game Biolocist wi=ry the Division of Wildlife_ He stated that the <br />eagle population at the ']avis~Rarch site was strictly migratory and that no <br />nesting or mating would be eva~n remotely expected. The large cottonwoods <br />mentioned above will provide roostine cover for the eagles. Gravel pit oper- <br />ations will be at a minimum d~rirg the months of November through February, at <br />which times the oreatest cone ntrations of bald eagles would be expected. <br />7. The Davis P.anch area presently is approximately ninety percent covered by <br />native vegetation. It is es=i .ated that approximately sixty percent of the to- <br />tal property will be affected~by the mining operation. The affected areas that <br />are not under water will be reclaimed using native vegetation. <br />KOENIG PIT <br />8.
