<br />However, old mine workings are shown on Map No. 21, Existing Struc- <br />tures, and indicate the vast amount of disturbance which has occurred <br />within the last 50 or 60 years. GEC Minerals, Inc. plans to mine <br />through these underground workings and recover the remaining coal <br />resource which was not recovered by these operations. Those areas <br />previously disturbed are noted as such on Map No. 21, Existing <br />Structures. Pre-mining land uses of these areas are not of record. <br />Existing Land Use and Land Use Classifications Under Local Law. <br />The Fremont County Commissioners have designated the lands within <br />the mine plan and adjacent area to be used for grassland and woodland <br />type uses. In addition, several areas have also been designated to <br />be used by mining operations.
