Adequacy Review Letter
Dear Ms. DuCray,
Thank you for the time you spent with me, discussing your new 112
permit application, as named above. I will try to both reiterate
my questions and. concerns, plus the points which were clarified
during our meeting, as I understand them. I will attempt to be as
comprehensive as possible in this letter, to minimize the number of
letters written regarding this adequacy review. In your responses
to this letter, please try to provide all information requested as
soon as you can, to speed along the review. I have arranged all
items noted in this letter by the exhibit in which they belong.
Where I have not mentioned an exhibit in this letter, I do not have
any specific question or comment about it at this time.
EXHIBIT A - LEGAL DESCRIPTION
The description is of an area comprising about 106 acres, and
presumably describes entire properties owned by you, within which
the permit area is situated. Your permit area description should
include additional information, specifying that only 46.1 acres
within those parcels will comprise the permit area itself.
EXHIBIT B - INDEX MAP
The index map, like the description in Exhibit A, depicts the
entire parcels within which the permit area is located. Please
modify the index map to delineate only the permit area itself. You
might also eliminate the blank strip of map margin which presently
runs through the middle of the index map and permit area.
EXHIBIT C - PRE-MINING AND MINING PLAN MAPS
There should be at least two maps, as the name of this exhibit
indicates. The map you submitted may be most appropriate as a pre-
mining map, but it still has several deficiencies. The permit
boundary is incorrectly labeled, there are no adjacent property
owners' names shown, none of the structures (roads, fences,
powerlines) that fall within 200 feet or inside the permit area are
shown or labeled, and there is no indication of surface topography
