G. As-built drawings of the structures will be submitted verifying there construction when and if
they are constructed.
I discussed with Patty Schrader Gelatt of the USFWS what would happen if mining was
terminated before the location of the inlet strtuture was reached She indicated that construction
of the outlet structure only might be a possibility. However, USFWS would like to coasult with
us to determine what other alternatives might be available depending on where mining is
stopped. Construction of a long inlet channel would probably not be a good alternative.
If only the outlet structwe is constructed , it is proposed to be constructed using the
configttration of the present inlet structure. Engineering design will be approved by the Division
prior to construction. Riprap will be d50(24") per CDOT specifications.
Phases V, VI and VII will not be mined until engineering design and bonding for the structures
is approved by the Division.
8. Enclosed is a letter dated Mazch 26; 1999 from the CDOW to the Mesa County Planning which
indicated their knowledge of the bald eagle winter roost azea on the island.
Enclosed is a receipt from the Mesa County Clerk and Recorded for placing this material on file.
Sin~ce,,rely,~/~/
~'-~-"C
Edward J.
