Dear Mr. Goss:
Your response to the Division's November 1, 1985 "Adequacy Letter" was
received by the Division on November 14, 1985.
Further clarifications are required prior to the November 25, 1985 scheduled
Board consideration of the above-captioned operation.
Exhibit B - Mining Plan
(original #) 4. Water resulting from the washing operation requires controlled
discharging (energy dissipator (rip-rap) at outlet, etc.) or containment and
resulting evaporation to minimize possible erosion.
Please specify how the wash-water will be handled. ~ ~ ~~~
Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan
1.A. If the depth to the water table is 11 feet, and the lake slopes will be
reclaimed to 3H:1V slopes, the following computations indicate that three (3)
acres will require revegetation.

1.8. The new map submitted illustrates the permit boundary encompasses 9.89
acres. The original map stated that the sump equals 1.0 acre. The acreage of
affected land totals 10.89. Limited Impact operations (110) are defined as
those operations comprising less than ten acres and mining less than 70,000
tons per year. All other operations comprise Regular Operations (112).
Please amend the proposed permitted acreage or remit the enclosed (112)
Regular Operation application from and additional information required thereby.
