The cost of health care is on the rise at a the same time our financial <br />resources (home collateral) would be on the decline. <br />PROCEDURAL CONCERNS: <br />To date we are unawaze of Benson Brothers having initiated any of the following <br />actions. it is imperative that the courrty require Benson Brother to he forthcoming with <br />required and recommended studies as their proposed red shale quarry sets in the center <br />of.a.heavily populatedarea. Therecan not be.any intelligent areaningfiil action taken on <br />the Benson Brothers proposal un1r1 they have provided complete documentation of the <br />following. <br />1. An;E-nviroameatal~mpaet'Stitdyis-neeessatyasihequmig+a~vilt <br />create a signifrcant impact to the Coalby Canyon community. <br />2. A Colorado Stormwater Construction permit and/or a National <br />pa}tatatct discharge elimination system (NPDS) is required by the state <br />before any ground can be broken on anything over an acre. <br />3. They are proposing the use of water drawn from the spring in Red <br />Canyon Mine. Presently this water works its way hacdc into the <br />aquifer. Many homes in the area have residential welts. How will <br />they be effected? <br />We ask that you look beyond this site specific proposal and consider the needs <br />ofshe Coalby Canyon connmunityasa whole- Please help vs lceep.ihis.p~Efu1 rural <br />setting, rich in it wildlife, as one of the treasures of Delta County. Families are drawn to <br />this area of Delta County by its open spaces and quite beauty. Just a short way from the <br />Scenic Byway and at the foot of Grand A4esa Coalby Canyon of€ers a unique place for <br />living.
