Road cuts of considerable heights have <br />already been constructed along the existing gravel road and <br />any realignment of the road will require the excavation of <br />even higher cuts or the construction of significant fills, <br />GEO-HYDRO Consulting, Znc. (GEO-HYDRO) was retained by <br />Sheridan Enterprises, Inc. to perform geotechnical studies <br />that are required for the design of the haul road upgrading. <br />This report describes the scope of the geotechnical study <br />and its results. <br /> <br />1.2 SCOPE OF THE STUDY <br />The scope of the study is to provide Sheridan Enterprises, <br />Inc. with the geotechnical design criteria necessary for the <br />design and the construction of the proposed road cuts and fills. <br />Furthermore, several samples of individual soil types on the <br />site were to be collected and tested to evaluate their important <br />physical properties. <br />1.3 METHOD OF THE STUDY <br />A field mapping and documentation program was performed <br />• to collect appropriate data on the geologic and geotechnical <br /> conditions of the Dlunger Creek area.
