EDIT 8 <br />The site that Ss affected by this proposal lies within the city limits of <br />Parachute, Colorado, south of Denver and Rio Grande Western Rail:road, northwest <br />o! the Colorado River and west of Garfield County Road 300. <br />The area to be affected is river bottc® land that ie within Lot 1, Section G o! <br />Spring Lake Estates. <br />The area hoe previously been permitted through the Colorado Mined Lard Division <br />by the State of Colorado Department of Highways, Permit Number 80-7 (Koch Pit). <br />This permit has been terminated. The proposed operatics is an extension of the <br />activity that was performed within Permit Number 80-7. <br />There are no permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of the proposed <br />7 affected area, exc.~ept the lalae that urns created by the extraction of gravel <br />J curler the previous MLRD permit. This lake is wined by P.cbsrd H. Koch, Jr. <br />There is an access road into the site as indicated on the site map <br />(FSrhibit E). This road will be used by the applicant, and will remain intact <br />after final reclamation efforts have been completed. <br />The proposed site is adjacent to the Colorado River. Excavation will not occur <br />closer than 100 feet Iran the river's edge. <br />-2- <br />
