n <br />U <br />2.0 GROOND-WATER LEVELS <br />Water levels or water pressure have been me=_sured in 39 wells <br />at Traver Mire. Wells GF1. GF3. GD2. GP3. GP4. and well 81-m3a <br />are flowine wells ar_d pressure readines or. thesse wells have been <br />converted to static water head in feet above land surface. We11 <br />GD1 is not measured £or water level because a pump is installed in <br />this well. Monitoring wells GD3. GF11 and ,LU:?-1 were installed in <br />1988 and well GMF-1 was installed in 1990. <br />The locations of these monitorine wells .are shown on enclosed <br />Maps No. 2-1 to 2-3. We11s GD1 and GF1 are comp:Leted in the Twenty <br />Mile Sandstone, while well GF2 is completed below the R coal in the <br />U aquifer system. Seven wells. GA1, GE1. GD^. GF6. GP1. GP5 and <br />• GP6 are used to monitor the QR aquifer. 4iell_ GP.2. GB1. GF3, GF^. <br />GP4 and GFS are used to monitor the I~LM aquifer. Seven wells. GB5. <br />GC1, GE2, GF4, GP3. GF7 snd l',MP-1 are used to observe changes ir. <br />the HI aquifer. Wells GB2, GCZ, P8. 81-03a and GP9 are used to <br />monitor the Third White Sandstone aquifer. Wells GE3 and P5 are <br />completed in the JPCOhd Whi±e Sandstone between the G and E coals. <br />while Glux-1 is used to monitor the First White Sandstone. We11 P3 <br />is perforated in the Lewis Shale. Four alluvial. wells. GC3. F1, J1 <br />and COY are ~.tsed to monitor the F1~ame, Pyeatt and Johnson <br />alluviums. We11s GF5 and GF7 .s re completed in the backfill aquifer <br />in an eras wh=re the HI seams were mined. Wells GD3 and GF11 were <br />r_ompleted in backfill aquifers in areas where the 5?R aquifer was <br />• mired. <br />?-1 <br />
