f
•~;
4!e feel as taxpayers, landowners, etc. when you assume the respon:,-
abilty of protecting the wildlife you also assume the responsabilty of
damages encountered by wildlife such as elk, deer, etc. If any restrictions
are put on this application we would expect a fair honest compensation
for the down time of our gravel operation, repairing of fences, etc. the
year round.
As natives of Colorado and also Park county we have protected the
wildlife to the best of our ;.ability. Putting up with hunters shotting
around our machinery and in fact into our machinery on numerous times and
in fact several times endangering our lives, causing us to run behind our
machinery for safety.
life would like to ask the Wildlife Division to grant this applacation
without any restrictions as long as we abide by the rules of the I'iined
Land Reclamation Division stating that when 9.9 acres are mined that we
put into effect the reclamation of the land mined before anymore gravel is
extracted.
Merrill Wright, Aoy Wright, Robert Wright owners of IIniversal Peat
Sand and Gravel Inc. wish to thank the Mined Land Wildlife Division and
especially Jim~Jones for not only taking time to listen to our problems
but to also look ahead to the near future. We too have "our" futures
to protect. We want to assure you that we will remain as always our
interest in protecting all wildlife wheither on our property or some
one el sea and that ve think Jim Jones will vouch for our sincerity in this
matter. Again we wish to thank yon for your time and would apperciate
your deciatdnnasesaon;as~crssible:.
Sincerely,
IINIVERSAL PEeT SAND AND GRAVEL INC.
P.O.
