• 2.05.3
I • MR-29
~PRoVE/~
9 ~8~03
Run-off from the vent shaft pad does not go through a treatment facility such as a
sediment pond. Run-off from this pad will be filtered through one of two sediment
fences. Sediment fence #1 is 130-feet long with a tie back of 5-feet. Sediment
fence #2 is 30-feet long with a tie back of 5-feet. Design of the sediment fences is
presented in Volume I II, Exhibit 8 beginning on page Exh-8 - 87. Flow will be routed
to the sediment fences with a series of berms as shown on Map 35.
Up to three gob vent boreholes GVBs are required over each longwalt panel.
Additionally, exploratory holes will be drilled within the permit boundary. Run-off
from the related drill pads may not go through a treatment facility such as a
sediment pond. Run-off from the pads that does not report to a sediment pond will
be filtered through a sediment fence. Design of sediment fences for three drill pad
configurations are presented in Volume I I I, Exhibit 8 beginning on page Exh-8 -107.
The three typical drill pads are designed on a 3H:1 V slope, SH:1 V slope and 1 OH:1 V
slope. The typical sediment fence configuration, berms and ditches for the various
slopes and pad sizes are shown on Maps 36 and 38a.
Drill H oles
Ori final Ground Slo a Information
Identifier Hole Name Sloe Identifier ole Name Slo e
063 VB-D-26 10:1 050 VB-WD-2C 5:1
041 VB-D-7A 3:1 080 VB-WD-1B 10:1
042 VB-D-5A 3:1 083 Geo-TCH-01 10:1
044 VB-D-4B 5:1 084 eo-TCH-02 10:1
051 VB-WD-3C 5:1 085 ea-TCH-03 5:1
052 VB-WD-36 3:1 087 VB-D-8C 10:1
053 VB-WD-2B 3:1 090 VB-D-8B 5:1
054 VB-WD-3A 10:1 092 VB-D-96 3:1
055 VB-WD-2A 10:1 094 VB-D-SA89A 3:1
059 VB-D-4C 10:1 096 P-99-16 10:1
060 VB-D-58 5:1 102 P-99-11 3:1
061 VB-D-SC 10:1 102 IP-99-11 3:1
062 VB-D-6C 5:1 120 M-3 3:1
064 GVB-D-6A 5:1 129 -B-Bum-22 10:1
065 VB-D-68 3:1 130 -B-Bum-23 10:1
066 VB-D-76 5:1 131 -TC-03-01 10:1
068 DH-57 10:1 132 -TC-03-02 10:1
070 DH-58 10:1 133 -TC-03-03 10:1
075 VB-D-7C 10:1 134 - 137 -TC-03-04 - 07 10:1
077 VB-D-SD 5:1 138 14 Geotech N/A
078 VB-WD-1A 10:1
The following table lists each drill hole and its design drill pad.
2.05 - 34 -
9/03
