Ames resumed SF blast drilling in the Phase Na at "D10 Hill" and blasted on Mazch 15`x, 19`s, and 2151.
I ~ Ames began to remove Drain Cover Fill (DCF) from the edge of Phase I along the Phase UPhase Na
tie-in in preparation for final grading.
Ames performed confirmatory drilling activities associated with the Phase IVa construction area on
known underground workings UG-444 and UG-545.
Ames conducted remediation of UG-545 by placing gravel plug material and "flow fill". Ames
drilled eight gravel plug placement holes where the tunnel crown depth exceeded 50 feet and three
flowable fill placement holes along the alignment of the working between the gravel plug and Phase
I. Ames placed approximately 80cy of gravel material forming a plug at the eastern extents of the
remediation area and placed approximately 148cy of flowable fill (cement slurry) between the gravel
plug and Phase I. Two additional confirmatory drill holes were drill the following day to confirm
the void was filled.
Phase IVb
Ames continued Structural Fill (SF) placement and compaction activities in the eastern portion of the
Phase IVb footprint at the temporary access road near the old highway crossing and west of the new
LOB. Structural Fill materials were placed in horizontal lifts typically not exceeding 2 feet in loose
thickness. A Caterpillaz CS563C roller provided compactive effort, while a Caterpillaz water wagon
provided moisture conditioning when needed. Ames conducted slope recontouring activities at the
West end of the temporary diversion channel and in the PSSA sump azea. Ames used Structural Fill to
backfill "Shallow" working UG-202.
Ames resumed SF blast drilling in the Phase IVb azea near the existing LOB and blasted on March
13`s.
Ames did not perform confirmation drilling in the Phase IVb area during this reporting period.
Ames resumed placement of Concrete Plug (CP) concrete into "Deep Shafts" UG-265 and UG-548.
Ames placed three feet of concrete in accordance with IFC Drawing 12, Detail 1.
Ames continued placement of Cemented Rockfill (CR) at UG-217, UG-251, UG-202, and UG-266 by
tapering the working and placing 7 feet of CR in accordance with IFC Drawing 12, Detail 1.
Ames placed two layers of geogrid in accordance with Drawing 12, Detail 5. Ames prepared the
subgrade and placed two layers of Tensar UX1700 geogrid transverse to each other, sepazated and
covered by SSF.
Phase IVc
Ames used Structural Fill to backfill "Shallow" workings UG-234a and UG-261. Ames also used a
rock hammer to break-up oversized material for placement as SF at a later date.
rn.,e rveas w.~nio-z3 ex Golder Associates Inc.
