(Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase IVa, b, and c Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of December 16a', 2001 through January 12a', 2002. The weather during this reporting period was cleaz to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures ranged from -7° F to 25° F, and highs ranging from 28° F to 56° F. Snow was recorded on January 2"a and 10'", 2002. Weather observations were made on twenty days of this twenty-eight day reporting period. Construction Synopsis Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for the Phase IVa, b, and c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVa, b, and c construction activities on fourteen days of this twenty-eight day reporting period (December 17a' through December 215`, January 2"a through January 5 ,and January 7a' through January 12a'). Phase IVa Ames continued Structural Fill (SF) placement and compaction activities in the northern portion of the Phase IVa footprint. SF materials were placed in horizontal lifts typically not exceeding 2 feet in loose thickness. A Caterpillaz CS563C roller provided compactive effort, while a Caterpillaz water wagon provided moisture conditioning when needed or required. SF material would also be placed in the uncontrolled fill azea to the northeast of the fill when needed. SF was borrowed from the slope recontouring activities neaz the 9640 road at station 18+00.
