(Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase IVa, b, and c Construction <br />Quality Assurance (CQA~ services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of December <br />2"a through December 15 , 2001. <br />The weather during this reporting period was cleaz to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures <br />ranged from 8° F to 26° F, and highs ranging from 22° F to 52° F. Snow was recorded on December 7a' <br />and 12a'. Weather observations were made on twelve days of this fourteen-day reporting period. <br />Construction Synonsis <br />Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for the Phase IVa, <br />b, and c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVa, b, and c construction activities on twelve days of <br />this fourteen-day reporting period (December 3`a through December 8a' and December l0a' through <br />December 15a'). <br />Phase IVa <br />Ames continued Structural Fill (SF) placement and compaction activities in the northern portion of <br />the Phase IVa footprint, in the Arequa Gulch area. SF materials were placed in horizontal lifts <br />typically not exceeding 2 feet in loose thickness. A Caterpillar CS563C roller provided compactive <br />effort, while a Caterpillaz water wagon provided moisture conditioning when needed or required. SF <br />material would also be placed in the uncontrolled azea to the northeast of the fill when needed.
