(Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase Na, b, and c Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of November 18a' through December ls`, 2001. The weather during this reporting period was cleaz to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures • ran~ed from -2° F to 30° F, and highs ranging from 22° F to 63° F. Snow was recorded on November 23 , 26a', and 27~'. Weather observations were made on thirteen days of this reporting period. Construction Smopsis Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for the Phase IVa, b, and c construction. Ames conducted Phase Na, b, and c construction activities on eight days of this fourteen-day reporting period (November 19s' through November 21S` and November 26~' through November 30a'). Phase IVa Ames continued Structural Fill (SF) placement and compaction activities in the northern portion of the Phase IVa footprint, in the Arequa Gulch area. SF materials were placed in horizontal lifts typically not exceeding 2 feet in loose thickness. A Caterpillar CS563C roller provided compactive effort, while a Caterpillaz water wagon provided moisture conditioning when needed or required. SF material would also be placed in the uncontrolled area to the northeast of the f 11 when needed. Ames continued SF blast drilling in Phase Na at the 9640 access road station 22+00.
