(Golder) is pleased to submit this weekly summary of Phase IVa, b, and c <br />Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of <br />October 28's through November 3`a, 2001. <br />. The weather during this reporting period was cleaz to partly cloudy. Approximate daytime low <br />temperatures ranged from 28° F to 43° F, and highs ranging from 53° F to 68° F. Weather observations <br />were made on all seven days of this reporting period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Ina (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthwork contractor for the Phase IVa, <br />b, and c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVa, b, and c construction activities on five days of <br />this seven-day reporting period (October 29a' through November 2"a) <br />Phase IVa <br />Ames continued cut activities in the Southern Access Road above the existing ADR building. A <br />Caterpillaz D10 dozer pushed material to a Caterpillaz 9921oader, which loaded multiple haul trucks. <br />Cut material was transported to the Arequa Gulch fill within Phase IVa. <br />Ames continued SF placement and compaction activities in the northern portion of the Phase Na <br />footprint, in the Arequa Gulch azea. SF materials were placed in horizontal lifts typically not <br />exceeding 2 feet in loose thickness. A Caterpillar CS563C roller provided compactive effort, while a <br />Caterpillar water wagon provided moisture conditioning when needed or required.
