--
W(i'I Response:
A Bridge crossing is to be utilized. An approved plan for a bridge crossing from the Army
Corp of Engineers will be completed and submitted to The DMG prior to mining on the
site.
EXHIBIT E -Reclamation Plan
DMG:
Under the legal description and the Phase I and II azeas' acreage, the permit is for 37.41 acres.
However; on the reclamation plan, the breakdown is as follows: 24.25 acres as ponds and
8.69 acres to be reclaimed for a total of 32.9 acres. Please explain the discrepancy. Are the
rest of the acreages not to be disturbed, therefore, not requiring reclamation or are they
considered minor disturbances?
WGI Response:
The balance of 4.51 acres is a combination of undisturbed and minor disturbances that should
not require reclamation. The Undisturbed areas will be adjacent to the bridge crossing. The
minor disturbances are primarily on the perimeter of the mine site.
EXHIIiIT S -STRUCTURES
DMG:
Are there any manmade structures within 200 feet of the permit areas which could be
adversely impacted by the mining operation?
WGI Response:
There are structures within 200 feet of the disturbed areas; a sewer line owned by West
Montrose Sanitation District, a Power Transmission line owned by Tristate Power and
Generation Co. And two Pole Barn shelters for livestock owned by the permit area land
owners. Damage agreements are currently being prepared for the potentially affected
structures, and will be forwarded to DMG as soon as they are complete.
I hope that these responses are adequate to meet the concerns of the DMG.
