I~~ ~ ` 2
State of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation
B. Topsoiling--Soil conservation soil interpretartions given
in Exhibit D-4, Page 2, are not accurate for this site.
See Mr. McCarty's letter of July 7, 1978 and Ideal's
comments, Exhibit E. A pocket of soil encountered several
years ago was stockpiled for eventual use in r~=_vegetation of
limited areas. Material from the quarry operation left on the
quarry floor areas revegetates naturally as noted here and at
the similar Slab Canyon quarry. Natural reveg~ztation will
also be a factor in the unusually long-range o~~eration at this
site.
C. Final Grading--
Much of the original rocky and uneven surface Boas steeper
than 2:1; however, we hope to eventually leave most of the
disturbed surface 2:1 or flatter. Final reclaimed surfaces
to be similar and blend with adjacent lands should be left
rough, rocky and with minimum grading.
There has been a change in the adjacent surface ownershij~ whose lands
are crossed by Ideal's right-of-way to this quarry as li:ated in Ex-
hibit A--Legal Description. Mr. .T, R. Yelek, et al, c/o Ray De Good,
P.O.Box 657, Loveland, CO. 80537 has obtained the land previously
owned by the Fergusons. 41e found this prior to publicat:Lon of the
legal notice.
Sincerely,
/1. ~, G ~G2~%!~
R.
