EXHIBIT G - Water Information
The Little Snake Pit #26 is situated on a relatively flat
abandoned alluvial flood plain that drains from the northeast to
the southwest at approximately a to grade according to the
U.S.G.S. map. (Exhibit B) The soil type is "Fonce" sandy loam.
The permeability of the Fonce soil is moderate. Runoff is slow,
and the hazard of water erosion is slight. (See Exhibit I)
The Operator will construct berms where necessary to protect
excavation slopes from runoff erosion. Local water will collect
in the lower areas of the excavation site. The average annual
precipitation is 10 to 12 inches. With the low precipitation,
and the well drained soils, water is not expected to collect in
large quantities, or to impact the "waters of the United States".
Moffat County does not anticipate the interception of ground
water. No water was encountered in any of the 15 exploratory
holes dug on the site. If ground water is intercepted, the
operator will consult the BLM for guidance.
• ~
EXHIBIT G
