5. Expansion Requirements (Domestic)
Pursuant to Colorado Law, C.R.S. 1973 25-U-SO1 (5) and state discharge
permit regulation 6.9.3 (12), the permittee is required t-o initiate
engineering and financial planning for expansion of tl:e domestic
wastewater treatment works whenever throughput and treatment reaches
eighty (8U) percent of the hydraulic or organic design capacity.
lhenever ninety-five (95) percent of either the hydraulic or organic
design capacity of the treatment works is reached, the permittee shall
commence construction of the necessary treatment expansion.
The design capacity of this domestic wastewater treatment works is
0.012 MGD for hydraulic flow and l5 lba DODg per day for organic
loading.
