Sumner <br />Hockett originally desired to permit both pits in this area. Through a <br />misunderstanding on the part of the Routt County Road Cepartment, only <br />one of the pits t+~as sho~:n on the map in the permit application. The <br />permit ~:as granted for 5 acres of disturbance. Ms. Cary, the Routt <br />County P.oad Engineer, believes that both pits will only involve 5 acres <br />of disturbance and will revise the application to cover both pits. If <br />the affected acreage will be over 5 acres, Routt County will amend their <br />permit to include the necessary increase in acreage. In any event, H-G <br />Coal Company ray mine for red dog in either pit under the Routt County <br />mining and reclamation permit if such an agreement is acceptable to <br />P,outt County. <br />1 <br />I hope this resolves this concern <br />Sincerely, <br />Roger 5.
