Ground water migrating from springs uphill fran the site 1s not evident 1n the highwall. In fact, investigation since my last submittal shows that the perforated pipe is no longer being used. there are no diversions of ground water or of Surface runoff (fran rain or snow.) Therefor, we are introducing no change in the hydrologic balance. 2. The drainage ditch referred to is the same as the inter- mittant stream. This lntennittant stream is the natural drainage produced by the annual runoff of snow. It does not carry water any other time except during a heavy rain. 3. As we no longer have the pipe installed, we are in no way discharging into a water course. 4. Operations come within fifteen feet Horizontally of the intertnitterrt stream/drainage. A berm is being left adjacent to the slope leading down to the drainage. This 1s accomp- lished by our excavation methods.
