19
1
' EXHIBIT E - RECLAMATION PLAN
' FINAL GRADING
' After mining activity has been completed and all equipment
has been removed from the site, areas surrounding the quarry site
' will be contoured to conform with the natural surrounding topo-
graphy and drainage . It is anticipated that this recontouring
will provide sufficient plant growth media to cover the rock
' base of the quarry with 8-10" of plant growth media. All recon-
toured slopes will be no steeper than a 2 :1 ratio. It is anti-
cipated that the mining procedure will not leave a granite high-
wall . However, in the event a highwall were to be present at the
conclusion of mining, then the highwall will be stabilized by re-
moving any loose rock, leaving a solid unbroken surface . The
existing roadbed from the quarry to the top of the first rise
' will be ripped prior to seeding; water bars will also be placed
on the ripped surface before seeding takes place to aid in erosion
' protection (Table 1, BLM Specifications) (Map 2 , Exhibit Q .
' The road from the top of the hill above the quarry down to
the Guffy Road will be cleared of all culverts after mining and
' will then be scarified and planted with the prescribed seed mix
less the shrub seed (Table 4) . Water bars on existing roads will
' be upgraded and seeded meeting BLM specifications (Tables 1 and 4) .
Structures. created to route drainage of water around the
quarry will be replaced with appropriate slopes and directions to
' provide 'a continuous drainage pattern. These drainage areas will
