No more than 70 ,000 tons of mineral , overburden, or combina-
tion thereof will be removed by the operator in any one calendar
year. All granite mining operations will be specified by se-
quential lots purchased from the BLM (Canon City District Office)
under the Materials Sale Act of July 31 , 1947, 61 STAT 681 ; and
the Multiple Surface Use Act of 1955 , PL 167 , 69 STAT 367 . The
anticipated starting date for mining is October 31 , 1982 , with
the life of mine (50 years) concluding October 31 , 2032 .
