Runoff fI~ this area drains south east
under the railway tracks with the rail ballast apparently acting as a
french drain. To prevent runoff frtan this area fr+~n degrading downstream
waters EFCI will construct a sediment fence to capture and filter all
runoff. The fence is designed to safely pass the runoff frran a 10-year,
24-hour event.
Given that the subject area is small, runoff and ~„~.,t will be
effectively wntrolled by the designed ScxL~*+t fence, and there is no
discharge in this area frcan undergrrnurl workings, EF'CT respectfully
requests approval of a Small Area F7remption for the sediment trap. F.FCI
will ocm¢nit to ongoing maintenance of the southwest aar9imant fence during
the period of active operations, including inspection and repair of any
significant damage drld perlod7.C S ~~*+t removal.
WFS'P LOADC(FP AREA -RAILWAY CUNPATI~lP BFId~I
Zhe existing railway containment berm, located on the south side of the
railroad tracks in the West Loadout area, effectively diverts disturbed
C \...860\TR16 .
