LLC; Comment letter <br />Dear Mr Thompson: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology (the Division) has received additional information <br />concerning the Notice of Intent for exploration for the Lorencito Canyon Deep Mine - <br />NOI CX-2005-218-O1. Please note the comments below for additional information that <br />will be required for your application. <br />1. The application still states that the azea of exploration lies within the Lorencito <br />Canyon Mine permit azea. You noted in your response that the azea proposed for <br />exploration lies outside the existing Lorencito Mine permit azea but within the coal leases <br />supporting the Lorencito Mine. Please include that language in the text of the application <br />and provide an maps of surface ownership and mineral ownership within the azea covered <br />by the application [Rule 2.02.2(2)(e)]. <br />2. We will anticipate receiving documentation of a statement from the Colorado Division <br />of Wildlife, as you indicate in your letter [Rule 2.02.2(2)(h)]. <br />3. The application states that no soil excavation is anticipated and that drilling will be <br />conducted along the roads whenever possible. Please add a commitment that soil will be <br />removed if wet and muddy conditions exist at the time the site is accessed. As stated in <br />the Division's last letter, please indicate that access can be made to drill sites across the <br />proposed spur roads without damage to the land surface or topsoil resource regazdless of <br />weather conditions. In the event of wet and muddy conditions, damage to the land <br />surface will be avoided. <br />4. Please provide the information requested on the exploration application form, part II, <br />4, b, as required by Rule 2.02.2(2)(g), as follows. <br />4.b. 1.
