SITE DRAINAGE & PROTECTION OF THE HYDROLOGICAL BALANCE

Storm water drainage from the site routed throurzh a sedimentation
pond. originally constructed for the orieinal Twin Pines Mine.
The pond was desizned by the Soil Conservation Service in 1979 in
accordance with Division Regulations to contain the runoff from a
10 year: 24 hour storm event. Off site water was diverted
directly to South Oak Creek. With in the site run off from the
access ramp to the tipple is carried alone the roadway adjacent
to an out slope berm to a swale which traverses the yard and
directs the run off to the sedimentation pond. Drainaze
directions, road cross sections, and other pertinent information
are shown on the "Twin Pines Coal Sales Drawing", included in
Volume II of the application. The existine sedimentation pond
will remain to provide water for livestock and wildlife. The pond
will be designated as a Livestock Tank in accordance with
Division of Water Resources criteria.
RECLAMATION OF THE TWIN PINES COAL SALES SITE
Reclamation of the Coal Sales Site to return the site to the pre-
minine, land use as orie,inally set-forth in the application
included the followinK:
1). Removal of used mining equipment - As of the date the used
mininK equipment has and is in the process of beinrz removed from
the site.
2). Removal of mine facilities - Facilities on the site that were
set forth to be removed from the site:
a. The tipple and appurtenances:
b. Shop building and equipment:
c. Sr_•ale and mobile office:
d. Misc. remainin¢ equipment and supplies:

return the site to pre-mining land use are:
