<br />Twin Pines No. 2 Mine <br />Revised 8/12/94 <br />• PaKe No. 99 <br />File wp51\law\tpcoal <br />SITE DRAINAGE & PROTECTION OF THE HYDROLOGICAL BALANCE <br />• <br />Storm water drainage from the site routed throurzh a sedimentation <br />pond. originally constructed for the orieinal Twin Pines Mine. <br />The pond was desizned by the Soil Conservation Service in 1979 in <br />accordance with Division Regulations to contain the runoff from a <br />10 year: 24 hour storm event. Off site water was diverted <br />directly to South Oak Creek. With in the site run off from the <br />access ramp to the tipple is carried alone the roadway adjacent <br />to an out slope berm to a swale which traverses the yard and <br />directs the run off to the sedimentation pond. Drainaze <br />directions, road cross sections, and other pertinent information <br />are shown on the "Twin Pines Coal Sales Drawing", included in <br />Volume II of the application. The existine sedimentation pond <br />will remain to provide water for livestock and wildlife. The pond <br />will be designated as a Livestock Tank in accordance with <br />Division of Water Resources criteria. <br />RECLAMATION OF THE TWIN PINES COAL SALES SITE <br />Reclamation of the Coal Sales Site to return the site to the pre- <br />minine, land use as orie,inally set-forth in the application <br />included the followinK: <br />1). Removal of used mining equipment - As of the date the used <br />mininK equipment has and is in the process of beinrz removed from <br />the site. <br />2). Removal of mine facilities - Facilities on the site that were <br />set forth to be removed from the site: <br />a. The tipple and appurtenances: <br />b. Shop building and equipment: <br />c. Sr_•ale and mobile office: <br />d. Misc. remainin¢ equipment and supplies: <br />e. Concrete slabs & footers: <br />f. Coal Stockpiles and debris: <br />a. A portion of the power lines. <br />3). Upon removal of equipment the site was to be regraded, <br />seeded, and mulched. Operations to complete the reclamation to <br />return the site to pre-mining land use are: <br />a. Remove tipple access ramp. utilize to backfill tipple <br />• <br />access and toe of slopes east of the tipple: <br />b. Ree,rade area to blend with surroundings: <br />c. Remove rubblize and dispose of concrete <br />proposed fills and/or mine site entries: <br />d. Deep scarify. disc. and grade yard areas: <br />e. Seed and mulch all areas in accordance with <br />of the application. <br />structures in <br />Section 2.05 <br />7.000 cubic yards of material will be required for the above <br />
