' GENERAL
1. LOCATION:
The site under consideration for the proposed gravel extraction operation
consists of 87.547 Acres, located in the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter, and the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and the North-
east Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 31, Township 6 North,
Range 65 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Weld County, Colorado. The
site is bounded on the South and West by the Cache La Poudre River; on the
East by 11th Avenue; and on the North by cultivated farmland.
' Approximately 7 Acres in the Southeast corner of the property is located
in the City of Greeley. This occured during the original platting of
the Town of Greeley in February, 1878, when the Northern town limits was
defined as the center of the Cache La Poudre River. At some intervening
' time, the river channel was changed leaving this tract separated from the
city. The remaining portion o£ the tract lies in the unincorporated portion
of Weld County.
2. OWNERSHIP:
The site is presently owned by Monfort of Colorado, Inc. and is under contract
to purchase by Richard Geisert and Francis Geisert. Both the surface and
' mineral rights are to be transferred. There is an oil and gas lease of
record as well as right-of-way for road and utility purposes.

' The applicant has held no other open cut or other type of mining permit. The
lands herein do not affect any lands described in Section 1.56 (9) of the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board Regulations.
