Mr. Mark Loye
October 19, 1984
Page -3-
sense in that (1) the tailings pile is no longer planned; and, (2) the gauge
becomes a better indicator of precipitation for the NPDES system and reclamation
in its new location. I would very much appreciate your confirmation of the
changes in precipitation monitoring.
I will call in the near future to determine if I have missed anything.
Homestake wishes to take this opportunity to thank you, Messrs. Pendleton.
and Liddle, and members of the Board for their expeditious action on this
amendment. We are especially appreciative of your management of the review
process which enabled us to identify and resolve issues in a forthright
manner. We recognize this has been a time consuming effort on your and the
staff's part.
If you could, would you address future correspondence or inquiries
regarding the Pitch Project to me. While Jerry Danni will remain in close
contact with the Project, and will be available should I not be, other duties
require his attention. Therefore, I will be assuming his past functions for
Pitch.
Sincerel ,
hn E. Hardaway
Technical Manag
Environmental Affairs
JEH:po
Attachments
