Date (if no date stamp): Lp- <br />Re: Homestake's Pitch Project Amendment - File No. 77-44R <br />Dear Mr. Loye: <br />In accord with your request of October 1 regarding adjustment of the <br />amount of financial warranty of the Pitch Project from $2,540,000 to <br />$2,263,000, Home stake proposes to adjust its certificate of deposits <br />currently held by Wells Fargo Bank, in order to reflect the new bond <br />amount. Since the current CD amounts are higher than currently re- <br />quired by the Board, we will undertake the change at an appropriate <br />future date and ensure notification of the change is sent to you. <br />In accord with our agreements during discussions prior to the Board <br />action and in accord with the stipulation accompanying the Board's approval <br />of the subject amendment, Homestake provides the following information. <br />If we have not adequate]y addressed the points discussed, please ]et me <br />know. <br />1.
