Sato Associates as the <br />SOAP contractor to provide hydrologic and geologic information for <br />the purposes of the completion of this permit application. At this <br />point, the information which has been provided by the SOAP contractor <br />is included as Exhibit 12. This information has been utilized for <br />Sections 2.04 and 2.05. However, this information is not currently <br />complete and the SOAP contractor anticipates that it will be complete <br />during the latter part of March 1981. At that time, GEC Minerals, <br />Inc. will provide the additional information to make the aforemen- <br />tioned sections complete. Therefore, this Section is based on this <br />preliminary information as provided by the SOAP contractor. <br />A detailed description of the geology, hydrology, surface and <br />ground water quality and quantity for all lands within the. permit <br />• area and adjacent area of the area to be mined is included as <br />available within Sections 2.04.5, 2.04.6 and 2.04.7. <br />GEC Minerals, Inc. has prepared maps of the area which it proposes <br />to mine during the period 1981 through 1985. These maps include <br />Map No. 4 Regional Geology, Map No. 5 Geology of the Mine Area, Map <br />No. 6 Geology Cross Section of the Mine Area, Map No. 7 Regional <br />Hydrology, Map No. 8 Hydrology of the Mine Area, Map No. 9 Hydrology <br />of the Tipple Area, and Map No. 10 Piezometric Surface. As additional <br />data is supplied by the SOAP contractor, this information will be <br />added to the appropriate map. <br />Information which is utilized to generally describe the geologic <br />and hydrologic regime of the area which GEC Minerals plans to mine <br />is available as mine maps, drill holes, and surface mappable units <br />within the area. The area has been extensively drilled and mined <br />within the recent past, therefore, confidence of the geologic <br />• <br />2.04-8 <br />
