Simpson <br />Stale Engineer <br />We have received your notice of the hearing before the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board on March 26-27, 1998. We understand that your office will be <br />presenting your recommendations to the Board regarding this project. Our office has <br />just completed a review of the substitute water supply plan for this project and has <br />recommended approval to the State Engineer. Once approved by the State Engineer <br />the applicant will be in total compliance with this office and will only be required to <br />maintain appropriate accounting and renewals when required. I expect to have a signed <br />approval letter within a week. I will forward a copy to you once received. <br />Please accept this letter as our response for any statements needed by our office during <br />the hearing on March 26-27, 1998 since I will be out of the office on these two days. If <br />you anticipate any additional responses, please contact me before Wednesday and I <br />would be happy to provide them.
