Chazt resolution is <br />0.01 inches of water. The gauge is'heated in the winter months. <br />2.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM <br />The quality assurance program meets the requirements of the Environ- <br />mental Protection Agency (EPA) publications (EPA, 1976). The calibration of the <br />equipment follows the same guidelines. <br />• <br />Hi vol samplers aze calibrated quazterly and when any major repairs are <br />necessary. Installing new brushes in the hi vol motors before each calibration is <br />standazd procedure. The calibration essentially involves the determination of a <br />calibration curve which relates the sample flow rate indicated on the flow recorder <br />chazt to the actual flow rate. Calibration procedures specified by General Metal <br />Works and the EPA, Region VIII, aze utilized. <br />Meteorological equipment is calibrated as specified by the instructions <br />supplied by the manufacturers of the equipment. <br />• <br />H-8 <br />
