Uttany
Division Director
Natual Resource Trustee
The Division has been reviewing Notices of Intent that remain on the books and those
that have expired but still have bond remaining. Twentymile Coal Company has ten of
these NOIs. The Division would like to do whatever is necessary to begin closing these
files and releasing the bonds as appropriate. For some of the NOIs, reports have not
been submitted as required by the Rules. The open NOIs aze listed below with a
summary and comments regarding what needs to be done to move the process along.
CX-1983-169-08
A $20,000 bond remains for this NOI which was supposed to have allowed the drilling of
alluvial monitoring wells.
The Division has a final reclamation report. A 180-day report should be submitted to
detail the work completed.
If the wells are used for groundwater monitoring of the mining operation, they can be
covered on the mind bond and the exploration bond released and the NOI closed out.
CX-1990-205-00
A $10,000 bond remains for 5 drillholes.
An abandonment report was submitted that covered 3 of the drillholes. No 180-day
report or final reclamation report was filed to describe how many of the approved wells
were drilled.
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
