t <br />E <br /> G. Laboratory Testing <br /> Laboratory tests were assigned to further determine soil characteristics from samples <br /> obtained from test borings and hand angering. Tests performed on soil include grain <br /> size analysis and index property testing. Index property testing was performed on a <br /> grab sample of clay material obtained from the Lafarge operation located on the west <br /> side of 35~' Avenue. The grain size distribution plots ate included in Appendix C of <br /> this report. Unconfined compression tests were performed on six bedrock samples. <br /> The results of these tests are summarized in Table V. Construction Technical <br /> Services, Inc. performed soil laboratory work. <br />C A set of direct shear tests was performed on a sample of intact mudstone core by <br /> Advanced Terra Testing. Data from these tests provided information necessary to <br /> perform slope stability analyses.
