4 <br />• <br />SOILS* <br />• <br />Soils range from approximately eight to twelve inches <br />in depth with the average depth being ten inches. Soils are <br />reddish-brown with the surface layer being lightly colored with <br />moderate permeability with a high percentage of float rock and <br />stones. Average precipitation is seven to nine inches. <br />* From Water and Related 7,and Resources, Dolores River Basin, <br />Colorado and Utah, 1972, by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board and United States Department of Agriculture, coupled <br />with physical inspection of the site.
