Domestic Water. A water well will be drilled in the yard area northeast of the office/shop building as <br />shown on Exhibit 12-1. Well specifics are detailed in Tab 7. • <br />Solid Wastes. Solid waste will be collected in dumpsters or other suitable containers and disposed of <br />at an approved dump site off the mine property. <br />Explosive Storage. The explosives storage area will be located along the haul road just southeast of the <br />shop area about 3/8 miles west of the center of Section 22, T5N, RBSW. At this location, as shown <br />on Exhibit 12-2, explosive materials will be stored in drop trailers or in approved skid-mounted explosive <br />magazines. The ammonium-nitrate fuel mixture IANFO) explosive will be stored in either drop trailers or <br />an above ground bulk storage silo bin. Explosive storage magazines will be constructed and located <br />according to State and Federal regulations. No permanent buildings will be constructed. <br />Fuel Storage. Storage tanks for diesel fuel and gasoline will be located in the facilities area in the NE y. <br />of Section 21, T5N, R88W Isee Exhibit 12.21. The diesel and gasoline tanks will have a storage <br />capacity of 20,000 gallons and 5,000 gallons, respectively. Spill prevention and containment measures <br />will be implemented in accordance with SCC's Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) <br />Plan. <br />Power Transmission. Anew 69KV power transmission line was constructed to [he Seneca II-W Mine. • <br />A substation was constructed 1,800 feet southeast of the center of Section 15. The above line was <br />permitted and constructed by Yampa Valley Electric Association. The substations will step down the <br />incoming 69KV line to 4160V to suit the needs of the shop and dragline. Powerlines will be built by <br />Seneca Coal Company from the main substation to the office/shop building and extended within the <br />reserve areas, as nestled. The existing mobile substation is being relocated to the NW'/.NWY. of <br />Section 26 and the existing powerrne is being extended an additional 0.9 miles. The location of the <br />main electrical facilities are shown on Exhibit 12 - 3. <br />Equipment Erection Site. An equipment construction site, mainly for the erection of the dragline, is <br />located in the NW % of Section 22, T5N, RSBW at the end of the existing portion of the mine entrance <br />road. The site is approximately 400 feet by 400 feet in size. The site will be reclaimed at the end of <br />the life of mine. See Exhibit 12-2 Tor location. <br />Coal Handling Structures. SCC has no existing or proposed coal handling structures. The coal is <br />hauled to the power plant for processing and use. A small employee's coal <br />J <br />38 Revised 09/00 <br />
