Mining Plan
a. The topsoil has been removed and is stockpiled. What is on
site will be used for reclamation as the area becomes available.
We feel that 4" cover will be sufficient on the area that will
be vegetated.
b. Slopes of mining will be no steeper than 2:1. Where ponds are
formed the slopes will be no steeper than 3:1 from five feet
above to 10 feet below expected water line.
c. The mining operation does not expect to affect the La Poudre
River.
~d. Phase one is essen*.ially complete with an expected completion
date of December 1979.
e. Life of the mine is planned to end in 1993.
2. Reclamation Plan
a. Slopes will be 3:1 from five feet above to ten feet below the
expected water surface.
Refer to the mining plan, sheet 3 of 4. Final size of ponds
will be: existing gravel pit to the west will be 24 acres,
existing gravel pit to the east will be 16 acres, phase II pond
will be 37 acres and phase III pond will be 34 acres.
