2. the purpose of this part of the plan would be to deliver at least as
much as is currently delivered in the existing situation. Because both
• ditch canpanies would have water flowing down West Fa~atcap, a measuring/
diversion structure would be necessary at the headgate of Oak Mesa
Ditch. CWI enuld construct this structure, after approval by water
users, to appropriately divide flows during construction season, 1985.
3. 'there is a possibility, due to the longer route and smaller than antici-
pated transmission gains, that the delivered quantity is smaller. If
that happens, CWI would work with the ia~berts-Stucker Ditch Company and
the Oak Mesa Ditch Company to construct transportation iriprovements such
as busied pipelines or concrete lining to ensure equivalent flows. CWI
has already constructed a buried pipeline on the ia~berts-Stucker Ditch
as a credit water in anticipation Eor these changes.
•
4, Finally, West I~servoir water could be delivered to both Oak Mesa Ditch
and Main ia~atcap Creek. If transportation improvanents could not offset
the losses due to diversion around the permit area, West J~servoir water
would be used to supplement flows. CWI would process a legal change in
point of diversion. 4he West l~servoir water currently is used at CWI
owned property on The Basin. 'Ihe Basin is not a potential AVF.
Summary
CWI intends to mitigate all water losses. It is prudent to take care of
this on a case-by-case basis because of the complexities of water replaoe-
• ment issues. CWI has maintained close crnununications with affected ditch
