DETAILED DESCRIPTION
OVERLAND DITCH MITIGATION PLAN
\J
Present Situation:
The Roberts-Stucker Ditch presently diverts flows fran Overland Ditch in
Section 3, R.92W., T.13S., 6th P. M., see Map 5-3, location #1. 'Ifiis late
season water flows down the Fast Iduatcap stream channel to Main La~atcap and
is diverted out of Main Ia~atcap at the Ia~berts-Stucker Ditch headgate. The
Roberts-Stucker Ditch then transfers water to the Stucker Mesa area.
Tl~e Oak Mesa Ditch currently diverts water fron the Overland Ditch in Ser
tion 5, R.92W., 'P.135., 6th P.M., see Map 5-3, location #2. This late
season water flows down West Fbatcap to Oak Mesa Ditch which transfers water
to Wakefield Mesa. 'Ihe headgate for Oak t~sa Ditch is in Section 21,
• R.92W., T.13S., 6th P. M., location #3.
After consultation with water users and appropriate government agencies, a
water replacement plan was mentioned in a stipulation to Lease C-37210. The
intent was to route Overland Ditch water around the permit area because CWI
would not be undermining the West Imatcap stream channel.
Mitigation Plan:
1. Roth the 13~berts-Stucker Ditch and Oak Mesa Ditch would divert water at
the West Fa~atcap location (location #2). 7h is has been previously done
and approval has been given by the Overland Ditch Company. In this way,
• both ditches can share transmission losses. This change will be done in
the irrigation season, 19155.
