• SURFACE AND GROUND WATER MONITORING PLAN
Surface and ground water will be periodically monitored to detect the
impacts, if any, to the hydrologic balance resulting from mining
activities. Information gathered from the monitoring program will be
submitted annually in a report to the Division as described below.
The submittal will include evaluations and conclusions which can be
discerned from the data.
Monitoring
1. Surface water quantity and quality data will be collected at the
surface water monitoring sites shown on Map 12, Mine Site Water
Systems and Refuse Area. The schedule for monitoring frequency
and data collection is shown on the following Table 1, Surface
and Ground Water Monitoring Schedule. Water quality data will be
obtained "for the parameters shown on the following Table 2,
Laboratory Water Quality Analysis List.
2. Ground water information will be collected at the ground water
monitoring sites shown on Map 12, Mine Site Water Systems and
Refuse Area. The schedule showing monitoring frequency and data
• collection is shown on the following Table 1, Surface and Ground
Water Monitoring Schedule. Water quality data will be obtained
for the parameters shown on the following Table 2, Laboratory
Water Quality Analysis List.
3. Additional monitoring will include quarterly sediment pond
inspections and refuse disposal area inspections conducted in
accordance with the current rules and regulations.
Renortina
All hydrologic monitoring data collected from the site will be
compiled into an annual report and submitted to the Division no later
than February 28 of each year for the previous monitoring year.
Copies of the certified quarterly sediment pond and quarterly refuse
pile inspections will be submitted to the Division on a quarterly
basis.
