The underlying subsoil materials will, if necessary, be <br />salvaged and stored in an azea sepazate from A and B horizons." <br />7. To reflect the requirements of Regulation 4.21.4(4), please revise the "Exploration Site <br />Reclamation" section on page 6 of the NOI application to include the following statement: <br />"All excavations, artificial flat azeas, and embankments created during exploration <br />will be returned to the approximate original contour promptly after such features <br />aze no longer needed for coal exploration". <br />8. DNR Executive Director Hams Sherman issued a press release on July 1, 2007 regazding <br />"expanded regulatory and voluntary measures" that the Colorado Division of Wildlife is calling <br />for regazding protection of the greater sage grouse in the azea of the Vermilion Basin in <br />northwest Colorado. For your information, I spoke by telephone to Mr. Jim Haskins of the <br />Steamboat Springs CDOW office yesterday, who informed me that the Vermilion basin is faz <br />enough away from this project azea that there aze no measures that Twentymile Coal Company <br />need take for greater sage grouse and Columbian sharp-tailed grouse habitat protection beyond <br />those described in CDO W's letters of May 25, 2007 and June 7, 2007. <br />Thank you for your participation in this matter.
