Although the creation of a pond by mining may establi h a <br />potential for a wildlife habitation, it is not the inte lion <br />of the operator or the landowner to produce "ha itat <br />management and creation" as a part of the reclamation plan <br />(6.3b). However, the operator will, if sufficient bar fill <br />material is available on-site, attempt to establis an <br />irregularly shaped shoreline, shallow areas and island as <br />shown on the revised reclamation plan. Rule 6.3 req fires <br />that "wildlife located ... or improve the habitat env ron- <br />ment" if mart of the reclamation plan. <br />2. At this time, the operator has no plan to replace trees At <br />such time when reclamation work is completed and he h s a <br />better idea of the Final result, he will consider your <br />suggestion. <br />Reclamation Costs <br />The operator will agree to increase the cost of shore fine <br />backfill to $7.50/ft. based on approximately 10 yds' of fill per <br />lineal feet of shoreline with a worst case situation of 1100 feet <br />exposed.
